Prevent spam emails from appearing in messages tab in Dashboard

adding on behalf of users:
Some users are seeing spam emails in their messages tab in the Dashboard. That is because the spam emails are designed to look as if they were being sent out from a person in their Mailbutler contacts. And Mailbutler shows incoming emails that have been sent from a contact in the messages tab.
It would be great to have a solution for this. One idea would be to allow deleting emails from the messages tab.

I'm sure there are users who may be using Mailbutler in different ways to me - so I appreciate this may be an option for some.
The way I use Mailbutler, personally, however, I don't want to see spam emails at all, let alone have extra steps to take in Mailbutler dashboard.. I'd prefer to delete the spam from my mail client and for it not to appear in Mailbutler at all. To me, it seems pointless replicating the functionality that the mailclient itself already provides, and would only 'clutter' the mailbutler app, defeating the purpose of it..
I would prefer not to see any 'incoming' mail in my Mailbutler dashboard.. even if it is from my contacts, unless it was directly related to a follow up event perhaps.. my main use (in fact, my only use, to be honest) is to monitor the tracking of sent emails.. So incoming, or spam emails just cause me a distraction.
If you do need to continue allowing 'incoming' or spam emails to be in the dashboard, can you at least allow users to choose the default view - ie: 'tracked only' in mycase, and for that to be sticky so I don't have to keep switching to that view?
Thanks x

Jason, thank you very much for your helpful feedback!
Our new filters should be sticky! So when you simply filter by "Opened"/"Not opened" you should only see tracked emails.
But we will definitely consider adding a new "Sent"/"Received" filter option in a future update
