Tag an incoming email by colouring email
The feature that is most important to me is to be able to easily tag incoming emails with a colour that enables me to see what needs to addressed and when. Postbox allows me to do that with a keystroke.... I have 6 different tags (Reply Required, Awaiting Reply, Will Call Back, Complete Etc.) and I can tag an email in the list with with keys 1 through 6. I also have filters set up that tag (colour) an incoming email from particular recipients.
There are two methods of implementing it, one is to colour the type (Postbox does it this way, it looks a little more polished and it is my preferred method), and the other is to colour the entire email "box", which is how Thunderbird renders it.

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share my positive experience with the tagging feature in Mailbutler. It has been working wonderfully for me. Having used various mail plugins, I’ve found that some of the most beneficial tools for reading, tagging, filing, searching, and scheduling emails involve the use of Rules. These Rules can be set to run upon email receipt or sending, significantly enhancing productivity by automating repetitive tasks.
For instance, when I receive an email, I typically read it, tag it, add a note, create a task, snooze it, or reply and send it. With Rules, these actions could be automated based on specific criteria, allowing me to focus more on the content of the email rather than the processes or workflows. Additionally, when an email is sent, Rules could automatically tag it, summarize a note, or create a to-do item based on the message’s content.
Everything the Mailbutler team is implementing is incredibly useful and much needed in today’s information management landscape. I’m hopeful that we will see a supportive tool that fully leverages all the functions Mailbutler offers.
Thank you for your continued efforts, and thank you for being YOU.
Best regards,

Functionality in conjunction of rules in mac mail would be a useful feature. I use to use a program that had an extension where it would allow use of rules for incoming and outgoing mail. That was very useful.
