Julie, they will most likely takes months to bring that back. i was waiting for tags on each mail inbox and never it never came. Try MavenMail by the company take created the original mailtags. It's an email client not lugin, but it give it a try

So, is this really gone for good?
Fabian
Julie, we will further consider your feedback and improve our new draft UI. This will include the management of basic contact information for each recipient.
Thus, you will be able to continue storing and viewing information (also the ones you previously stored).
Julie Lohre
Fabian Ok, so when does that come back?
Fabian
Julie, actually very soon – likely next week already!
Julie Lohre
Fabian THANK YOU. This has seriously been a significant business issue for me that I have been trying to find a way to work around. I will push back any changes on my end until then.

As Mailbutler contacts didn't sync to Apple Contacts... what happened to our database that we've groomed over the years directly in Mailbutler?
Julie Lohre
Jurgen Proschinger YES! I am still waiting to hear back from MailButler about this.
Fabian
Jurgen, all of the stored contact information is still present in our database and soon we will provide a new streamlined UI to access these in our new draft UI.
Nothing is lost!
Jurgen Proschinger
Fabian, great news!
May I ask if that new UI will sync with Apple Contacts or not? Because if not, I will stop using it and rather click around two apps (Mail and Contacts) as opposed to maintaining two databases.
To repeat what I've said for years: CONTACTS and INFORMATION about them is the CORE REASON for Mailbutler's existence in my workflow. I don't need the gimmicky AI generation, send later, to-do or whatever. It's CONTACTS for me. Right next to the email I'm reading. And I've said that for how long now... 9 years I think.
Fabian
Jurgen, we currently do not have any plans to implement syncing of contact information back to external address books.
Fabian
Hey Julie!
We informed all users a couple of months ago about our plans to discontinue the Contacts UI. This does not mean that contact-related information is lost. We already work on some very nice improvements to our new Draft UI, which include the display of contact information – but even closer to your draft than ever before.
Please see the attached screenshot for a sneak peek into this new UI.

Fabian I’ve been with mailButler for a few years and I was not notified about this. The first time it was mentioned is when I noticed functionality limitations and asked a question about what was happening. I saw your screenshot but not sure how that’s helpful. Mail Butler in the past has been excellent for allowing me to have a quick reference with notes and tags applied directly to a contact (not to a single email). I am just so frustrated that a system that previously worked and served me well has become almost obsolete for my needs.

Julie Lohre - will the updated UI still allow me to view email history associated with a contact?
Fabian
Eli, yes we will also include this email history in the updated UI
